Do It Yourself Surgery

brain enlargement 150x150 Do It Yourself SurgeryYes as the title says, this is talking about a DIY that i found while cruising around the dark side of the hospital. (just beyond the water cooler)   Now please don’t try this at home as i will not be responsible. I may be crazy but you won’t blame this one one me.

So you want plastic surgery, or at least a plastic surgery procedure, such as silicone injections. You can’t afford it. So instead of saving up for the procedure, or deciding against the procedure, you buy the silicone on the internet for $10 and inject yourself with it, even though the bottle it is clearly labeled “personal lubricant” which is a polite euphemism for lubricant used during sexual activity.

Well, when I say “you” I don’t really mean you. I think you are probably smarter than that. But not everyone is that smart. In fact, this woman has gone public with the damage done when she did exactly what I just said, she wanted silicone injections, couldn’t afford it, and instead bought “silicone” on the internet and injected herself.

So here is my question… why did she go public with her story, when I truly believe that anyone in their right mind would have said “that’s crazy!” Are we supposed to feel bad for her? Are we supposed to think of this as a cautionary tale and not inject ourselves with sex lubricant? I’m not sure what to think, other than this was a bad idea and I’m not really sure why it is big news.

I wonder if personal lubricant bottles will all be labeled with “do not inject” after some lawyer somewhere figures out who can be sued over this bit of lunacy.
